This work marks a point of zero — a quiet moment of surrender captured in a time when the outside world faded and only the physical reality of survival remained. The gesture of the hand towards the face is not a sign of weakness, but of necessary protection — an attempt to rediscover one’s own contours in a world that has become disoriented.

By deliberately removing colour and gold in this piece, the viewer is compelled to confront the essence: the vulnerability of human existence when all masks have fallen away. It is a tribute to the silence required before renewal can begin.
